Jo’burg Gears Up to Celebrate Africa Day

The bustling city of Newtown in Johannesburg is gearing up to celebrate Africa Day on Saturday 23 May with a hot lineup of music artists which includes the world- renowned vocalist from Nigeria, Asa as well as the Grammy Award winning- Soweto Gospel Choir and South African rockers- The Parlotones, who are all set to rock the city.

The event which is hosted by the City of Johannesburg and the Department of Arts and Culture will be taking place at the Mary Fitzgerald Square. The celebrations mark the establishment of the Organisation of African Unity (the African Union) and serves as a day to celebrate the African heritage while showcasing the continent.
